  I have been using Swan Cleaners for dry cleaning (and once for shoe repair) periodically for a few years since it is in walking distance of my home. Never again! On the most recent occasion, they LOST my husband's sweater vest. The package of clothing they returned to him included a white long-sleeve sweater (that belonged to someone else) when he had given a dark blue sweater vest. She had just written "sweater" on the ticket stub, and apparently the cleaner did not keep the clothing together. We gave them a month to find the missing sweater vest, but in the end, the owner could not find it and REFUSED to pay anything for losing the $60 sweater vest. From a legal perspective (we are both lawyers), the owner is legally obligated to pay for any lost items. My husband had bought the vest for $60 and had only worn it once or twice. But the owner REFUSED to pay ANYTHING, even to refund him the cost of the cleaning fees.
  
  I should have known when last year, she added a $10 charge to the already expensive fee to clean my wool winter coat because there was cat hair on it.
  
  I will never again be using this business after the horrible service we experienced.
